Scotophobia

Fear of the dark.

I was just messing with light today. I hadn't done my makeup because I'd just gotten out of the shower, but my hair was all nice.

Anyways, I know it's weird that this is sideways. But when I rotated it this way, the image just became ten times more interesting somehow. I guess the way my head was angled made it seem like the gaze was that much more intense. Also, the disorientation aids the concept a bit, I think? Maybe.

Anyways, I made the middle light as if the dark was trying to encompass me, and the brightness of the middle of the photo is supposed to exaggerate the notion of holding on to the light, as a person with scotophobia would.

I do not have this phobia, but many people do, so... I think it's relate-able.
